About Ethan
Ethan is the only red mask boy from our Darius x Niki litter.
We are delighted with him, both with his breed type and his sound structure.
Ethan was originally based at Amoureux Kennel in Victoria, but due to the decision of the Vollemaeres to
spend more family time together, Ethan has returned to Queensland permanently.
Although only shown sparingly in Victoria, he is a multi Class in Group winner.
Since returning to Queensland at the end of April 2014, Ethan finished his title with 45 points in 3 shows and Best Intermediate in Group.
He took Reserve Challenge Dog and Runner-up Best of Breed at the 2014 Brisbane Royal. There were 16 Dogues entered.
Ethan takes Best State Bred in Group at the Beaudesert Show Society Championship Show.
Ethan takes Best Aust. Bred in Group and Best of Breed at the Beaudesert/Maree Kennel Clubs Championship Show under Mrs Z Salijevic (Sweden).
He also takes Best of Breed under Mrs J. Lawless (Ireland) and Reserve Dog under Mr J. Juslin (Finland) with some lovely comments about his breed
type from Mr Juslin.
Ethan becomes our 4th home bred Best in Group winner when he takes Best in Group and Best Aust. Bred in Show at the Tweed River Canine Club
Campionship Show, under Mr Wayne Douglas (VIC). Our sincere thanks to Mr Douglas for recognising Ethan's type and soundness.
Ethan follows up his Best in Group with Runner-up Best in Group at the Gayndah Show Society Championship Show under Mrs Barbara Balaam (Qld).
Our sincere thanks also go to Mrs Balaam for recognising Ethan's quality.
Ethan is awarded Runner-up Best of Breed at the 2016 Brisbane Royal.
Ethan is awarded Runner-up Best in Group and Best Aust. Bred in Group by Utility Group Specialist, Mr Bill Smith, at the Brookfield Show.
The following weekend he is awarded another Runner-up Best in Group and Best State Bred in Group by Mrs Rhonda Ralphs (NSW). He is then awarded
Best State Bred in Show by Ms Mandy Schelbach (Qld).
A few weeks later, Ethan is awarded Best in Group and Best Aust. Bred in Group by Mrs Melissa Starkey (Qld) at the Woodford Show.
Ethan is then awarded 1st place in the Utility Group Champion Sweepstakes, and Runner-up Best in Group by Mr John Mitchell (Qld) at the Ladies Kennel
Association of Queensland Open Show.
We were delighted that Ethan was awarded Runner-up Best in Group under Mr Timothy Thomas (Qld). Mr Thomas has watched breed judging in France and discussed
the breed with specialist judges in France. He has also watched the breed being judged in Russia.
Ethan then went to Nanango and was awarded Best State Bred in Show by both Mrs Barbara Balaam (Qld) and Mrs Lynette Niemann (SA).
Ethan took Best of Breed at the 2018 Sydney Royal Easter Show under Mr Stavros Argyrou (Cyprus) in what was one of the most arrogant and rudest displays of
judging I have ever seen.
At the 2018 Brisbane Royal Utility Group Feature Show, Ethan took Best of Breed under Dr Carlos Flaquer (Brazil). Dr Flaquer is a well respected Mastiff
specialist with an interest in the molosser breeds. We were delighted Ethan was awarded Best of Breed by Dr Flaquer.
He is a very happy outgoing boy and with his stunning breed type, he will be an assett to both our kennel and the breed.
