About Lincoln
Lincoln is co-owned with Angie and Jason Douglass in Sydney, where he is exclusively shown by Angie. When Angie asked me three years ago for a boy,
it was a matter of waiting for the right boy to come along, one with superb breed type, sound structure and
an outgoing personality to make a great show dog. Lincoln met the criteria.
However, at 6 months old we nearly lost him when, without warning, he developed an intussusception. This is
where part of his intestine telescopes back inside itself. Emergency surgery and the removal of a foot of his
intestine, where the small and large intestines meet, was necessary. A week of intensive specialist care
was required. Amazingly, he has pulled through and has not had any of the complications often associated with
with an intussusception. It took 10 weeks before he received approval from his vet to go back in to the showring.
At his second show back after the surgery he took Best Minor Puppy in Group and followed it up with
Best Minor Puppy in Group at his next two shows.
Lincoln gained the final points for his championship title on 30 March 2019 and did it in style with another
class in Group, his 9th.
At only 13 months old, Lincoln takes Dog Challenge and Best of Breed at the 2019 Sydney Royal Easter Show over older competition from
from our own and other kennels. It is a fabulous achievement for such a young dog!
At the Hills Dog Club Champ Show, Lincoln is again shortlisted for Best in Group (the fifth time this month) and is awarded
Best Junior in Group and then he goes on to be awarded Best Junior in Show by Mrs Elaine Knox (NSW).
At the Utility Dog Club of NSW (Gold & Black Show) Lincoln is awarded Runner-up Best in Show by Mrs Carolyn Alexander (USA) from a large entry
of 143 dogs.
Lincoln is awarded the CACIB at the 2019 Dogs NSW Spring Fair CACIB Show by Mr J. S. Pawar (India).
Lincoln is awarded Best Exhibit in Group 1st at the Canowindra P. A. & H. Association by Mrs Jeneene Ford (NSW).
Lincoln finished 2019 as the No. 1 Dogue de Bordeaux Show Dog Nationally, No. 2 DDB Rising Star Nationally and No. 3 Best of Breed Winner
Nationally. He was the No. 1 Dogue de Bordeaux in the State of New South Wales across all three categories
(Show Dog, Best of Breed Winner and Rising Star).
Lincoln has a great start to 2020, winning Runner-up Best in Group under Mr E. Hardwicke (NSW) at the Crookwell A. P. & H. Society
Championship Show.
Lincoln is not yet 2 years old, but he takes his second Royal Best of Breed by winning the breed at Canberra Royal
under Mr C. Beattie (Ireland).
Lincoln is a character in the ring and is well known for his 4 feet off the ground jumps when trying to
grab his fringie ribbons.
